2015 Book Blogger Love-a-Thon Questionaire

I’m really excited to participate in the 2015 Book Blogger Love-A-Thon hosted by Alexa at Alexa Loves Books. I love the idea of spreading the love to other bloggers and hope I am able to help with this. Here are my answers to the questionaire.

  1. What is your name? Brittany
  2. Where in the world are you blogging from? Mississippi, USA
  3. How did you get into blogging in the first place? I wanted somewhere to share my thoughts. I originally was going to do a crochet/crafting blog but then I found the world of book blogging and fell in love. It’s really helped me to rediscover my love for reading.
  4. How did you come up with your blog name? Originally my blog name was just The Crafty Engineer when I was going to do a crochet blog. When I decided I wanted this to be a book blog I changed it to The Crafty Engineer’s Bookshelf. I have a degree in chemical engineering so that’s where I got the name.
  5. What genre do you read and review most on your blog? Romance would have to be the genre I read and review most but I would say Young Adult novels are a close second.
  6. What other types of posts do you do on your blog, apart from reviews? At this time I post some of my favorite quotes on Wednesdays and participate in a few weekly memes (It’s Monday! What Are You a Reading?, Top Ten Tuesdays, and Harry Potter Moment of the Week). I would love to start posting a weekly craft project post to share what I have been working on. I think in the near future I will start sharing these on the weekends.
  7. Best blogging experience so far. Being able to do my first blog tour.
  8. Favorite thing about the blogging community? Being able to participate in events like this one.
  9. Name the 5 books you are most excited for in 2015. Hmmm there are so many good books being released this year. This is hard. I’ll go with:
    1. I Was Here by Gayle Forman. I know this is already out but I haven’t had time to read it yet.
    2. The Lion’s Den series by Violetta Rand. I already read the first one but the other two come out later this year and I’m excited for them.
    3. Breaking Noah by Missy Johnson and Ashley Suzanne.
    4. Kissing Ted Callahan by Amy Spalding.
    5. All the Rage by Courtney Summers.
  10. What’s an underrated book or series you think everyone should read? The Bloody Jack series by L.A. Meyer
  11. Which book boy or girl would be your BFF? Lexi from the Guest House by Erika Marks
  12. Apart from reading, what are your other hobbies or interests? crocheting, playing video games, watching netflix, playing with my cat, hanging out with friends
  13. Apart from book shopping, what else do you like shopping for? Yarn!
  14. At a party, the DJ suddenly changes songs- and it’s your song. What song would be playing? Love Me Like You Do- Ellie Goulding
  15. Pick out either a book you want turned into a film/TV show or a film/TV show you want turned into a book. This is also a hard one. There are so many books that would make great films/TV shows. I think Heart of Fire by Mary Lennox would be an interesting film.
