- An Interview with Bryn McKenna and Jaxon Westgate
“Hello, my name is Bryn McKenna. I’m just a normal girl who also happens to be a shape-shifting dragon. I have all the same issues as a non-shape-shifting teen. I have to deal with school and homework and oblivious boys who can’t figure out what they want. Unlike the average girl, I can shoot a fireball at a guy’s head if he really ticks me off. Not that I’d ever do that.”
Jaxon clears his throat. “Excuse me? I seem to remember you shooting a rather large fireball at my head.”
Bryn rolls her eyes. “You were being a total asshat. What did you expect? And that was when we first met. It’s not like I’ve done it since then.”
“True. But you do seem to attract a lot of trouble. “
“It’s not like I ask people to try and kill me.”
“Or blow you up, or kidnap you.” Jaxon smirks. “Or force you to hang around with an unbearable knight.”
“Valmont is wonderful,” Bryn objects.
“Not the adjective I’d choose, but whatever.” Jaxon points to the top of the blog post. “What’s with your picture?”
“What do you mean?”
“My picture is a normal photograph but yours looks like a painting…or maybe a book cover.”
Bryn stares up at photos. “I love that picture. You’re just upset because your picture is normal and mine is amazing.”
Jaxon snorts. “They probably needed to dress up your photo so mine wouldn’t steal all the attention.”
“That sentence doesn’t even make sense,” Jaxon checks his watch. “I think our time is up. If you’d like to read about all the trouble Bryn causes, check out the Going Down In Flames series.”
Bryn clears her throat. “If you’d like to read about how I take on an archaic society of shape-shifting dragons with asshat tendencies, check out my books or catch up with the author at www.chriscannonauthor.com
About the Book
Bryn McKenna has it all, including her smoking-hot knight turned live-in boyfriend, Valmont. Even though she’s a hybrid dragon, she’s finally fitting into the new shape-shifting dragon world that’s become her own. But her grandparents want to ruin everything by making Bryn’s nightmare of an arranged marriage to Jaxon Westgate a reality. It doesn’t help that Jaxon’s father is on a witch hunt for Rebel sympathizers and Bryn finds herself in his line of fire.
If she doesn’t say, “ I do,” she’ll lose everything. Good-bye flying. Good-bye best friends. Good-bye magic. But if she bends to her grandparents’ will and agrees to marry Jaxon, she’ll lose the love of her life—her knight.
