Tessa Stoneman hasn’t been able to get long-time friend and business partner Nicholas Boone out of her head since they shared a single kiss in college. Even when she dated Nicholas’s best friend. Now that she’s giving up her position at GameNerdz to strike out on her own—and now that she’s single—maybe it’s the right time to see if there’s still something between them.

Nicholas knows once Tessa leaves the company she helped found, they might drift apart. Before she starts her own company in the new year, he wants to woo the woman he fell in love with during college. So he poses as her Secret Santa, gifts her with items from the song “Santa Baby,” and plans a big reveal at the company holiday party. But when his best friend wants to rekindle his romance with Tessa, will Nicholas lose his last chance?

Secret Santa Baby is a quick read. I think I finished it within an hour. It was a great holiday short about two people who have been friends since college.

Nick regrets not telling Tessa how he feels when he had the chance all those years ago. Instead he had to watch her date his best friend. Tessa thinks Nick doesn’t see her as more than a friend but she really wants to jump his bones. She believes in love but her ex doesn’t and he thinks she will come crawling back to him when she figures out love doesn’t exist in the way she thinks it does.

Tessa’s secret santa is sending her gifts straight out of the Santa Baby song. These gifts are not cheap and it is looking more and more like this person has an interest in her. But will it be who she hopes it is or will she be doomed to remain just Nick’s friend forever?

I really enjoyed this story. I do believe this is the first book I have read by Robin Covington and if her longer books are anything like this one then I will be a fan for life. I do wish we could see more of Tessa and Nick’s story though. I didn’t want it to end! I’d highly recommend this!
